CBD Brownies

CBD brownies with antioxidants

Mee Staff

CBD brownies are a thing - and we're 100% here for it. They're delicious, easy to make, and packed with health benefits from the CBD as well as the cacao. Not to mention, they're perfect for a quick snack or dessert. Give them a try the next time you're in the mood for brownies.

How Long Does It Take for CBD Brownies to Work?

Unlike sublingual CBD, CBD brownies and other CBD edibles can take a while to kick in. This is due to a few factors. The first is that the CBD will need to be absorbed through the stomach lining before it reaches the blood stream. The other factor to consider is that no two people have the same metabolic rate. All of that being said, CBD brownies will generally take between 45 and 60 minutes for the effects be felt. Just remember, even though the effects of CBD brownies and other edibles take longer to be felt, they generally last longer too. We personally find the CBD brownies to be an amazing after dinner treat.

What Are the Benefits of CBD Brownies?

Beyond the fact that CBD brownies are just so delicious, they're a great way to get slow release CBD for a longer lasting effect. Additionally, they're packed with superfood cacao. Cacao is a great source of antioxidants and contains the unique compound theobromine. Theobromine has been extensively studied for its ability to increase blood flow.

Ingredients (8 Servings)

1/2 x Cup of Cocoa Powder

2 x Tablespoons Baking Powder

1 x Teaspoon Salt

50 grams x Melted Coconut Oil

1 x Cup of Coconut Blossom Sugar

½ x Cup All-Purpose Flour

2 x Eggs

1 x Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

200 grams x Chopped Chocolate Chunks

8 x Pipettes Mee CBD Drops

How To Make CBD Brownies

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Add sugar to a bowl, pour in your oil, and blend the two together.

Add the eggs, CBD drops, and vanilla extract to the mixture that you created and continue stirring until the mixture is well blended.

Mix the remaining dry ingredients in a different bowl, including chocolate chips/chunks and nuts (optional).

Combine the wet and dry mixtures until they're smooth and there are no lumps (not counting the chocolate chips).

Get your groove on and grease that brownie pan! If you're not into that, buttering it works too. Just make sure to pour in the combined mixture afterwards.

Stick the toothpick in the centre of the brownies every few minutes to check if they're done. You'll know they're done when the toothpick comes out with only a few crumbs on it.

Before removing from the pan or eating make sure that you let the brownies completely cool inside the pan.
